Tension Myoneural Syndrome

Can Your Chronic Pain Be Treated With a Mind-Body Approach?

For over 40 years Dr John E Sarno, brought an alternative approach to healing chronic pain, especially back and neck pain, which has now reached epidemic levels all over the world.

Sarno, was a professor of rehabilitation, up until his death at the age of 93 in 2017, and through his work he made the connection that some patients suffering from chronic pain, could possibly be due to emotions that they have repressed and not of a physical nature. He also observed that some people with certain personality traits could cause a person to be in a state of stress and become a slave to their chronic pain. Sarno came up with the name for these chronic pain symptoms and called it Tension Myositis Syndrome, which he later changed to Tension Myoneural Syndrome.  He has treated so many people with his approach and helped people avoid unnecessary surgeries, drugs and get over the fear of leading a limited lifestyle, due to their pain symptoms.

I have been through chronic pain myself and by doing the work I needed to do, with the support of a TMS practitioner to guide me. I changed my pain to a point where it has now gone away and if it does flair up from time to time, by using the tools to help with TMS symptoms, it is gone in a day.

It all made sense to me and so much so, that I trained to be a TMS practitioner myself.

I will therefore now be offering a free 15-minute consultation to see if you may be someone who could be experiencing TMS symptoms. If you determine that you would like to look at an alternative approach to your pain, you can move onto the next step of the work. This work is done by yourself with the help and guidance of myself and I will be available to help you with any questions that you may have as you work through your self-discovery process and take control of your pain..

Everyone is different and some peoples pain can be rooted in deeper emotions that may need psychological counselling, but often, just making the connection between your pain symptoms and your emotions, can have very positive results for relieving pain.

If you would like to contact me regarding a free 15 minute video or phone consultation, please fill out the form on my website and I will contact you as soon as I can.
